Who You Are

  • An entry level race mechanic with 1+ year of experience in motorsports or automotive industry, preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • A detail-obsessed professional who thrives in fast-paced environments.

  • A motorsports junkie who’s comfortable working long hours, weekends, and high-intensity race schedules.

  • A clear communicator who syncs seamlessly with mechanics, engineers, and management.

  • Valid driver’s license and the tools to get the job done.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

What You’ll Do

The race mechanic is responsible for the mechanical maintenance and repair of race cars and equipment needed for race events. 

  • Assist with basic maintenance and setup.

  • Tire changes, fluid checks, basic part swaps.

  • Help to diagnose and fix mechanical issues.

  • Meet deadlines for race car preparation, while producing quality product.

  • Manage worklists and car prep details between races to keep operations razor-sharp.

  • Handle race weekend setup and teardown, ensuring every second counts on and off the track.

  • Clean tires, trucks trailers, race cars and shop.

  • Responsible for organizing equipment and stocking pit carts

  • Deliver race-ready vehicles with next-level service, from meticulous prep to post-race analysis.

  • Represent Riley and our sponsors with professionalism and passion, whether in the garage, pit lane, or beyond.

  • Keep the shop and pit area dialed in—clean, organized, and ready for action.

  • Adapt to a demanding schedule, including nights, weekends, and long-haul travel (40%+ travel required).
