Position Overview: 
In our fast-paced atmosphere, you will be responsible for organizing the day-to-day inventory stock movements while contributing to the smooth processing of inventory and maintaining a well-organized stock area. The Parts Coordinator position supports our skilled engineering and manufacturing staff across the company, by keeping everyone updated, issuing purchase orders to suppliers, liaising with couriers and freight carriers to ensure timely deliveries, maintaining accurate stock control records, issuing stock to the various departments throughout the shop, processing returns to suppliers, and managing goods in and out on a daily basis. This position requires a self-starter and a highly motivated team player.

 

Essential Job Functions:

We are seeking a motivated and talented Parts Coordinator with a positive attitude who enjoys working in a team environment. Someone who has previous parts and inventory experience in an automotive or aerospace/electrical or mechanical engineering environment is required. Employee must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for at least 3 years allowing you to drive a light-duty commercial vehicle to assist the team, as required. In addition, we require the ability to:

  • Possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail

  • Multi-Task in a fast-paced environment with accuracy

  • Utilize computer skills and software including Microsoft Office software and manufacturing software (E2)

  • Manage time, workload, and prioritize tasks and deadlines

  • Work with minimal supervision

  • Read and understand drawings, prints, and assembly instructions

  • Understand and utilize commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of manufacturing and inventory

  • Receipt of goods, confirmation of compliance with packing list and purchase order, record properly in manufacturing software system

  • Pick part list items from BOM and issue to shop, recording properly in manufacturing software system

  • Pick and pack parts for dispatch in according with customer orders

  • Ensure that parts are packaged and dispatched in accordance with the customs regulations and legislation of the destination address

  • Maintain accurate inventory control systems and records, identify shortfalls, and maintain agreed upon minimum stock levels

  • Deliver and collect goods and parts as required in a company vehicle

  • Accurately label parts and locations on parts shelves and update and record locations in manufacturing software system as required

 

Education/Experience:

  • Good mechanical aptitude is a plus

  • Past manufacturing experienced is desired

  • General knowledge of basic math and dimensioning and tolerances and inspection principles

  • Proven track record to multi-task and successfully follow detailed instructions

  • General knowledge of safety in a manufacturing/production environment

  • Operation of a forklift truck

  • Understand logical part flow

  • Willingness to learn and do other tasks, as needed
