Position Overview:
Riley Technologies is a championship-winning race car constructor and manufacturer looking to bring on Car Mechanics and Assembly Technicians to aid in the assembly and construction of modern and historic race cars.
The Assembly Mechanic / Technician will report directly to the Car Assembly Manager and will help with the build of the race cars and work to prepare them for the track.
The individual will ensure that all components of the car are secured and working properly and that all worklists have been completed. The candidate must be versatile and able to work on all aspects of a race car.
We are looking for an employee with a good attitude who enjoys working in a team environment and who has a good skill level and working knowledge of race car assembly.
This position is predominantly shop based in Mooresville NC, but you will be required to travel to some test and race events.

Responsibilities:

Assembly of race cars & components ranging from suspension, engine systems, bodywork, and interior components.

Maintenance services, repairs, and reconstruction work.

Carry out precision mechanical assembly of components and fittings working closely with the Engineering department.

To be able to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
Qualifications / Experience:

Completed school education/apprenticeship as an automotive mechanic.

Sports Car, GT, or Rally Car mechanic experience is advantageous.

Additional knowledge such as fabricating, turning, and milling would be an advantage.

You must have some motorsports experience on a race team or similar shop-based constructor.

Good mechanical aptitude.
