Myers Riley Motorsports Ready to Take on CTMP Sprint Round

Myers Riley Motorsports is set to return to sprint race action this weekend as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship heads north of the border to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

The team will once again field the No. 16 Ford Mustang GT3 in the GTD class with Sheena Monk and Felipe Fraga sharing driving duties. Following continued progress throughout the first half of the season, Myers Riley Motorsports arrives at CTMP focused on execution, momentum, and the ongoing fight in the Bob Akin Award Championship.

Known for its high-speed corners, flowing layout, and low-margin-for-error nature, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park presents one of the most demanding challenges on the calendar. For Monk, the Canadian venue is also one of the most enjoyable.

“CTMP is exceptionally fast and big commitment, making it one of my favorite tracks on the calendar,” said Monk. “I’m eager to jump into another sprint round with Felipe and keep pushing for the Akin Championship with Myers Riley. We’re only halfway through the season and I think it’s all still to play for if we execute well for the remainder of the year.”

Fraga also heads into the weekend looking forward to tackling the Canadian circuit behind the wheel of the Mustang GT3.

“I’m really excited to race the Mustang in Canada,” said Fraga. “Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is such a fast and enjoyable track, and it’s always a great challenge for us as drivers. The team has been working hard, and we’ll keep pushing to bring home a strong result this weekend.”

With the second half of the season now underway, the Myers Riley Motorsports crew remains focused on building from the progress made in recent rounds. The team continues to gain strength with the Ford Mustang GT3 platform and will look to convert that development into a strong result at one of the fastest tracks on the IMSA calendar.

The Chevrolet Grand Prix weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park will feature a two-hour, 40-minute sprint race for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The green flag is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. ET, with coverage beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET on Peacock and on IMSA’s YouTube channel for international viewers.
