Who You Are

 A well-rounded machinist with proven CNC machining experience (lathe and/or mill).
 Experience operating OMAX waterjet systems (preferred).
 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
 Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
 Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Willingness to take on varied responsibilities and support different departments as needed.
Commitment to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Enjoys working across multiple machines and processess.
 Takes ownership of equipment and work quality.
 Adaptable and solution-oriented.
 Does not mind “doing a bit of everything” to support production needs.

What You’ll Do
This position places primary emphasis on operating and maintaining our OMAX 55100 Waterjet system, while also supporting CNC mill, CNC lathe, and manual machining operations as needed.

Waterjet Responsibilities

 Set up and operate our OMAX 55100 Waterjet system to produce components in accordance with drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
 Understand, operate, and maintain the waterjet machine and all required support equipment.
 Interpret technical drawings, models, and technical documents to ensure appropriate tolerances, edge quality, and stock allowance for downstream machining operations.
 Program, edit, and troubleshoot cutting programs at the machine, including modifying DXF files, tool paths, lead-ins/outs, kerf compensation, and quality settings.

Riley Tech. EL or Advanced candidates.

 Select and verify correct materials and thickness prior to cutting; adjust parameters accordingly.
 Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
 Perform routine preventative maintenance.

CNC & Manual Machining Responsibilities

 Set up and operate Tsugami M08SY CNC Lathe and Okuma M560 CNC Mill.
 Perform basic program edits and offsets as required.
 Assist with setup, tooling changes, and work holding adjustments.
 Operate manual mills and lathes for secondary operations, prototypes, and support.
 Collaborate with programmers and machinists to ensure parts are optimized for downstream operations.
