July 2026

Location: Mooresville, NC
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive / Based on Experience

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Composite Technician to join our team. This role
is focused on the critical final stages of high-performance carbon fiber manufacturing, final
fitment, and structural restoration. You will be responsible for cured carbon fiber components
and bringing them to a flawless final finish for both elite motorsport projects and premium street
car applications.

This role focuses on reading technical specifications to deliver high-quality work from the start
and managing rapid structural crash repairs under tight turnaround constraints to support active
racing and demanding in-house and client schedules.
This is not an entry-level position. Proven, hands-on experience working with advanced
composites (carbon fiber/prepregs) in a professional automotive, aftermarket, or motorsport
environment is required.

Key Responsibilities
ï‚· Rapid Crash &
Damage Repairs: Expertly diagnose structural damage on returned,
track-damaged components. Execute proper scarfing techniques, laminate schedules,
and vacuum-bagging protocols to structurally restore components under tight turnaround
constraints without compromising safety, structural integrity, or cosmetics.
ï‚· Trimming & Pre-Fitting: Precisely trim, drill, and scribe cured carbon fiber components
according to CAD drawings, engineering briefs, and strict tolerance specs using air tools,
routers, and precision hand tools.

ï‚· Final Assembly & Bonding

Execute final assembly of multi-piece components utilizing
structural adhesives (e.g., Hysol) and mechanical fasteners. Ensure perfect fitment,
body lines, alignment, and gap tolerances for both race and high-end street aesthetics.
ï‚· Quality Control: Inspect parts post-cure, post-repair, and post-assembly to ensure they
meet strict structural and cosmetic shop standards.

Requirements & Qualifications
ï‚· Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a composite technician,
with a heavy emphasis on trim, final assembly, panel fitment, and structural repair.
ï‚· Technical Skills: Clean execution of scarf repairs, core replacement, vacuum bagging,
precise bonding, and surface preparation. Must have a proven track record of working
efficiently under pressure to meet fast-paced shop deadlines.

ï‚· Tool Proficiency:

Expert handling of pneumatic tools, perimeters, diamond wheels,
measuring equipment, basic hand tools, and appropriate safety gear.
ï‚· CAD & Blueprints: Ability to read, interpret, and accurately follow CAD drawings,
complex laminate schedules, technical layouts, and assembly instructions.
ï‚· Attributes: Exceptional eye for detail (especially regarding cosmetic weave alignment
on street parts), a strong work ethic, and the ability to maintain a fast pace in a high-
productivity shop environment.
